Colombia’s got heaps of young talent

If Egan Bernal has a rival for the best young Colombian at the moment, it’s Ivan Sosa. The 20-year-old climber, who won the Adriatica Ionica Race and Sibiu Cycling Tour this year, added another GC thanks to a dominant performance in the mountains at the Vuelta a Burgos in northern Spain. Having finished runner-up to race leader Miguel Ángel López on stage 3’s summit finish, the tables turned on the last day as Sosa attacked his compatriot with 400m to go on the final summit of the race. Sosa dropped López and turned a two-second deficit into a 19-second winning buffer.
