THOMAS CAMP AN ACE RV É LO BIG LA TEAM MANAGER

-

Cecilie has probably been the most unlucky rider of the season because she has faced so many problems. We didn’t get more than a window of six weeks to work on anything. An appendix and two wisdom tooth operations meant it was a wonder she could perform at all. It was a good season given the di iculties we faced, but it wasn’t satisfying for her.

During the Giro, she found some form, and then carried that to La Course, which was the iconic race day for her. That showed that if she has good form she can make the di ference in a race because she is often driven by her emotion. That makes her a special athlete, cyclist and person. When everything its together, she can make moves that nobody expects, and that was brilliant for her.

Next year, we’ll have the same programme and maybe try to focus more on the time trials as well. The most important goal is to start winning – it doesn’t matter what race. But Cecilie is still young. For me, it’s very exciting to work with a rider who is so into cycling. She is willing to do whatever is necessary to try and ind a way to become the best cyclist in the world.

Cecilie is very positive, so there’s nothing we need to work on there, and she’s inspiring to work with. What’s important is that she translates her talent and motivation into success. She is a special rider.
