The latest version of Madone’s wind tunnel-tested Kammtail Virtual Foil tubes are constructed from Trek’s proprietry OCLV carbon. That makes it light, aerodynamic and sti f. But the real selling point is that the newest Madone majors on comfort too – a relative rarity for bikes billed as aero. That’s achieved through Trek’s adjustable IsoSpeed decoupler, which allows riders to modulate the IsoSpeed’s fore and aft movement and dampen road vibrations. The re-engineered aero cockpit now o fers more adjustment too, to help dial in the it. The 2019 Madone, which debuted at last year’s Tour under Trek-Segafredo riders, is also the irst disc brake-equipped Madone. This build, with Shimano Di2 Dura-Ace 9000 and Bontrager Aeolus XXX 6 wheels, weighs a claimed 7.65kg.
