Brodie is a special person, a special rider. She is very unique, and when I watched Brodie during the 2019 season with Tibco I was really impressed with her attitude. She attacked a lot. She’s not like the other girls; she tries when other riders are tired, she attacks when normally it’s not possible to attack. She arrived on the team like a young, talented rider, to learn the job...But she needed experience and to learn all the parts of the job. She wants to learn very fast, but I don’t see the edge of my riders. Before, she rode a lot of mtb and mtb downhill and it’s very good because she’s very technical and I really appreciate having a rider like Brodie for the gravel, for the cobbles. My philosophy about tactics is that I don’t want to control everything, and for me Brodie is like an artist. I’m not a big fan of analysing all the data. I love to have a rider race with instinct, and Brodie is one of the riders who can attack when she wants. For many races her job is: you are free.
