Back after the 2020 race was cancelled, Itzulia gives the climbers a race while the classics specialists are focusing on Belgium. The only similarity is the weather. Itzulia features hard, relentless climbing. The climbs of the Basque Country are shorter than those of the grand tours, but their steepness and repetitiveness defines this race.
