The Tour de Romandie continues the trend of week-long stage races getting harder the further into the season we go. It’s the first stage race of the year that really goes into the high mountains, with multiple climbs. But the long time trial means that it favours the complete rider. Formerly a Giro warm-up, it’s now an excellent run-out for Tour contenders.
