Even though Peter Sagan may be the star rider for Bora, their 2020 season was a true team effort with 21 wins across the outfit. Sagan missed out on an eighth Tour green jersey, but the effort it took for Sam Bennett to wrest it from him left shockwaves reverberating across the Tour peloton. The Slovak made amends for a barren Tour by taking a debut Giro stage win in stunning style. The addition of Wilco Kelderman and Nils Politt bolsters Bora’s options in grand tours and the classics, while Pascal Ackermann, Max Schachmann and Emanuel Buchmann should all pick up wins. The emergence of Lennard Kӓämna at the Tour showed how well Bora are building and developing riders for the future.
