The newest addition to the WorldTour comes in the form of the stalwart Belgian outfit who have taken on CCC’s WorldTour licence for 2021. They’ve bolstered their roster with grand tour experience in the form of Rein Taaramäe and Louis Meintjes, although both seem more likely to target stages than the GC, while Czech rider Jan Hirt has also finished 12th in the Giro. They’ve also picked up Georg Zimmermann and fellow CCC alumni Jan Hirt and Jonas Koch. Wanty are the perennial plucky triers and these signings point to a strategy of chasing stages where they can, in what will be a challenging year to find their feet.
