BARDIANI- CSF- FAIZANÈ

2020 World Ranking 57 Established 1982 Team Manager Bruno Reverberi Bike Cipollini

-

Another winter with big changes ringing around Bardiani, as 10 new riders join for 2021 making up almost half of the roster. Remarkably, this season marks 39 years in the peloton for Bruno Reverberi and his team, and while the squad keeps its inherently Italian flavour, the additions of Costa Rican Kevin Rivera and Colombian Johnatan Cañaveral mean the riders are not quite all Italian this season. The Giro d’Italia is, of course, the team’s centrepoint, but the last time they won a stage was in 2016, and at last year’s race their best results were four stage top 10s. Reverberi continues to focus on developing young riders - 14 this year are aged 25 and under - but experience in the form of veteran Giovanni Visconti, 37, and Enrico Battaglin, 31, should help as the pair have ridden 19 Giri between them and won five stages. Riders such as Giovanni Lonardi and Umberto Marengo are quick and have consistent high placings but wins have been thin on the ground the last two years and it’s hard to see where many might come from.
