The stand-out day of the Tour de France this year is surely stage 11, featuring two ascents of Mont Ventoux. The organisers of the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge clearly had an eye on what ASO came up with, as their one-day race will also now feature two ascents of the iconic mountain for the first time in its three-year history. Starting in Vaison-la-Romaine, the 154km race doesn’t feature any flat road, with four other climbs packed in.
