A message from the Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby

It is said that 'the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members'. The recent treatment of the trans and gender diverse community should make sections of the Australian media and our political system reflect on how they use their influence. Trans and gender diverse people have great strength, contribute to our society and are valued, they are made vulnerable by the unnecessary and hurtful attacks on them.

The Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby stands proudly in solidarity with the trans and gender diverse community in general and children who identify as members of that community, in particular. We are proud to love, to support and to celebrate our friends in the trans and gender diverse community.
