Favorite tech for wellness
My Apple Watch. Its activity features allow me to track my steps, calories burned and heart rate. I can’t go anywhere without it.
Book I’ve learnt the most from
The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz. He talks about how great starting a business is while also being honest about the difficulties of running one.
Podcast I’m listening to
Masters of Scales, hosted by Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn. He’s an incredible leader and businessman and his podcast is very insightful.
Instagram filter of choice
#nofilter. I prefer to keep my pictures untouched.
Current phone
The iPhone X. My favourite feature is the face detection. Apple has always been at the forefront of innovative technology and Face ID will eliminate the need to remember a four-digit pin in the future.
Tech gadget that didn’t change my life
I’d have to say the Fitbit. [When I had one] I wasn’t exercising nearly as much as I do now. I definitely love my Apple Watch more; it links with all my devices and allows me to go out without my phone on weekends and helps me switch off. And I can compete against my mother on our exercise numbers – even though I lose every day.
Favourite news source
Twitter. It has revolutionised global news delivery and consumption. I love how instantaneous it is so I can stay up-to-date with business and technology news.
Last thing I Googled
The best places to ski in the world. Skiing brings me peace and there’s nothing better than a holiday in the snow.
Startup to watch
Bluestone Lane [a chain of Australian-owned cafés in the United States, with an estimated annual turnover of $US30 million]. Australian coffee is taking over the US.
