The famed Petersham Nurseries (petershamnurseries.com), co-owned by Australian Gael Boglione, has just opened in Covent Garden with a gorgeous plant-filled courtyard. There’s a more formal restaurant to one side and La Goccia, a relaxed café that serves breakfast, on the other. Both have a casual vibe – lime-washed floors, vintage chandeliers and large vases of colourful blooms. There are delicious smoothies (including cacao, date and hazelnut) and cooked dishes such as poached eggs with labne, spinach and chilli on the breakfast list.
