King’s Cross

Charming industrial interiors, distressed brick walls, an open kitchen and lively atmosphere make this a great place to hang out (caravanrestaurants.co.uk). It’s run by three New Zealanders and the breakfast menu includes porridge with dates, black sesame and tahini and fried cornbread with black-bean salsa, feta and chipotle mayonnaise. There are five outlets but the standout is the King’s Cross branch, in a renovated Victorian grain store with an outdoor terrace.
