Pack like a Pro
Having launched her eponymous resort-wear line in late 2018, Sarah-Jane Clarke – formerly of Sass & Bide – knows a thing or two about warm-weather essentials.

SWIMSUITS
When I want to feel fabulous, I turn to Lisa Marie Fernandez. Her cuts are beautiful. I love Eres, too – the fabrics are spot-on and the fits are so versatile; you can wear them for a dip in the sea or just as easily do laps in them.
BAGS
A wicker basket bag fits all the necessities and my go-to is Waiwai Rio – it’s the perfect mix of boho and elegance. Its bags are crafted in Brazil, a favourite destination of mine. I also make sure my make-up pouch can double as an evening bag – it’s all about efficient options.
ACCESSORIES
I like my sunglasses to be resilient, long-lasting and fun. I stumbled across L.G.R in Milan a few years ago; its products are made in Italy using traditional methods and are ideal for sunny adventures. I don’t bring many extras on a beach holiday but statement earrings are an easy addition because they don’t take up much luggage space and add drama to the simplest outfit. I love supporting Australian designers such as Lucy Folk, who has a fresh take on shapes and an eye for quirky details. Her playful styles are a pleasure to wear.
SEPARATES
I always pack matching sets like a top-and-shorts combo; they take me from day to night and linen styles are great in the heat.
SHOES
Two pairs are all you need: lightweight trainers for long walks, plus some flats that work well for exploring and for dinner at a local café. But, really, my preference is to go barefoot as much as possible.
