Crazy Wing has several outposts around Melbourne, including one in Chinatown (234 Little Bourke Street), specialising in Beijing-style charcoal-grilled skewers. The namesake “crazy wing” is not for the faint-hearted. I once attempted the eyewateringly spicy wings and am not as brave as I thought. Now I stick with the whitepepper-dusted or raw-garlic-brushed crisp wings, cumin lamb skewers or vegetable skewers. The coriander wrapped in tofu skin is unmissable; so are the cold vinegar noodles. It’s good for a quick snack or a whole feast.
