This is an ex­cel­lent way to en­sure you are eat­ing your phy­tonu­tri­ent-dense greens. The com­bi­na­tion and ra­tios of in­gre­di­ents in this recipe are a sug­ges­tion only – if you pre­fer a dif­fer­ent green leaf (or if it’s more sea­sonal), swap it in. Serves 2

Prep time 10 min­utes


50g (1 cup) spinach; 50g (1 cup) kale; 5g (1 tsp) crushed ginger;

1⁄2 avocado; 1⁄2 small cu­cum­ber; 1 ap­ple, core re­moved; 1 clove gar­lic, peeled; 10g (2 tsp) pump­kin seeds/pepi­tas; 10g (2 tsp) sun­flower seeds; wa­ter, de­pend­ing on con­sis­tency


Blend all the in­gre­di­ents to­gether, adding wa­ter if nec­es­sary to achieve a good con­sis­tency.
