Look Twice

-

Seven thousand square metres of forest right in the middle of a large city – where might you find something like that? In Milan, for starters. Designed by architect Stefano Boeri, the pair of residential towers named Bosco Verticale ( vertical forest) jut 76m and 110m into the Italian metropolis’ skyline. The steel reinforced concrete balconies that extend along the facades of both buildings are home to roughly 900 trees, some of which could grow to 9m in height, as well as 20,000 smaller plants.
