Reader's Digest Asia Pacific

Youngest Recruit

On our recent beach holiday, my 16 month old discovered a copy of Reader’s Digest in the cottage we were renting. She sat quietly by herself, flipping pages, engrossed in the sea of letters. Since returning home, we’ve bought her some more issues. Now, every time she’s upset, I say, “Charlie, go get your Reader’s Digest” and then she’ll sit calmly on my lap for an hour or more as I read it to her. I’m only sorry the magazine doesn’t elicit the same reaction from her twin brother. SEB PARADIS
