Molly’s Game

Based on Molly Bloom’s memoir (Molly’s Game: From Hollywood Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker), this movie features Jessica Chastain as the former US Olympic-class skier who found herself operating the world’s most exclusive weekly high-stakes poker game. The underground venue became hugely successful and attracted players from the ranks of Hollywood actors, Wall Street tycoons, sports stars and unbeknownst to her, the Russian mafia.

As the connection to the Russian mafia surfaced, Bloom became the target of an FBI investigation. Her one ally was her criminal defence lawyer, Charlie Jaffey (Idris Elba), who learned that there was much more to her than the public was led to believe.
