Look Twice
Only if you take a step back can you recognise what you are really seeing with this early 20th-century photo studio: it’s an amazing miniature diorama. Iraq-born artist Ali Alamedy needed about nine months to transform hundreds of metres of wood, plastic and copper into such a tiny piece of nostalgia. Everything, including floorboards, camera equipment and even the portraits on the walls, was created completely by hand – and, of course, completely from scratch.
