Making Time for Miracles

‘Now … While There’s Time’ in the January Classic Reads issue reminded me of a lovely memory. One day our third son,

then almost eight years old, came to me and excitedly described seeing a cicada about to emerge from its shell. I was busy making the tea and felt that I didn’t have time. However, he pleaded with me to come and look, so I went with him. It is the only time that I have seen that beautiful miracle of nature. It remains a special memory.
