A legal battle over who owned the rights to a famous smiling ‘selfie’ taken by a critically endangered monkey has been settled out of court. Attorneys for Naruto, a crested black macaque, and David Slater, a British nature photographer, agreed to donate 25 per cent of the photo’s future revenue to charitable groups that protect the species in Indonesia.
