The Great Grain Race

Those who still thrill to the sight of tall ships have had their annual stirring of the soul with the arrival in England of the great fleet of 18 full-rigged sailing vessels, laden with 66,000 tons of Australian grain, which each year race from South Australia, around Cape Horn and up the Atlantic to the River Thames. This time the race was won by a fourmasted Swedish barque, after a voyage of 120 days.
