State Is A Renewable Energy Powerhoue

-

Once saddled with some of Australia’s highest electricity prices, the state of South Australia now has the cheapest in the country. The turnaround started less than 20 years ago, when the state began switching from a primarily fossil fuel system to wind and solar power.

An estimated 40 per cent of households in South Australia have rooftop solar panels. With 60 per cent of its energy needs provided by renewables in 2020, the state has set a target of 100 per cent by 2030.
