Artist Takes Money And Runs

A Danish artist who was paid by a museum to create artwork has submitted two empty canvases titled Take The Money And Run. Jens Haaning was given the equivalent of nearly $US84,000 by the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg. The artist said the blank canvases were a commentary on poor wages. Although not satisfied with the explanation, it didn’t stop the museum from displaying the canvases – and trying to reclaim its fee from the artist.
