To outsiders, Freycinet Barnes looks like she has a perfect life, but when she discovers her husband is having an affair, her blood starts to boil – then she is hit by a car.

The vehicle’s occupants insist on her going with them to choir practice, where she meets choristers who vent their frustrations through stories and song.
