PORK AND PRAWN WONTONS
Ingredients
• 40 wonton wrappers
• 200g pork mince
• 70g raw prawns, peeled, deveined and chopped
• 1 egg
• 2 spring onions, finely chopped
• 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 2 tsp light soy sauce
• 2 tsp salt
• ¼ tsp ground white pepper
Method
1. Mix all ingredients, except wrappers, in a bowl until combined. Leave to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
2. Place 1 tsp of filling in the centre of a wrapper.
3. Using your fingertip, moisten the edges with a little water, fold the wrapper to enclose the filling, and pinch to seal.
4. Repeat with the remaining filling.
5. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil and add the wontons in batches of ten. Return to the boil. Once the wontons float to the surface, continue to cook for a further 3 minutes, then remove using a slotted spoon to a serving bowl.
