Traffic Stopper

Neil the seal has become an internet sensation after being snapped playing with traffic cones on a road near a Hobart beach. The two-year-old elephant seal spent over a month in and around the beach’s surrounding residential area in July. Hobart photographer Sam Shelley, who had been working on a shoot for the surf club said, “The seal has been following us around, I’ve been down in the sand taking photos and he’s been coming towards us, trying to check us out. Probably thinks I’m a seal.”
