FREDDIE ALWAYS STOPS TO SMELL THE ROSES, WHICH MAKES SENSE BECAUSE HIS FAVOURITE SHOW IS THE BACHELORETTE.

Known in his neighbourhood as Mr Skinny Legs, this fun-loving pooch is always down for a good time. If Freddie was a person, what do you think he’d be like?

Whippets can sometimes seem a little solemn or sulky, but I think they’re more pensive than moody. He’s actually very social, so he’d probably be the kind of dude who’d throw fun Sunday sessions in the park. How has Freddie’s presence impacted your wellbeing?

Scott’s a chef and works most nights and Fred is great company when I’m on my own. He also makes me stop work at exactly 5pm so we can go for a walk and also barks at me when I’m on my phone too much, which is a good reminder to put it away. What’s Freddie’s favourite wardrobe accessory?

He’s been known to rock a shearling-lined Driza-Bone when it’s freezing outside. Little whippets get so cold. Does Freddie have any party tricks?

He can high-five like the best of them! Hasn’t quite mastered rolling over yet – that’s our next project. The last show Freddie bingewatched on the couch with you? He’s a big Bachelorette fan, but I’m more into Stranger Things. What do you love most about Freddie?

He’s a total weirdo sometimes – whippets can contort themselves into such strange positions! I love that he’s so unusual. And he’s the fastest runner! It always makes me proud. What’s Freddie’s oddest habit?

He really, really loves stealing our shoes. He’s stopped chewing them now, he just takes them into his bed to let us know he could have ruined them if he really wanted to.

WE ARE FAMILY FREDDIE, 2.5, LIVES WITH SOPHIE AND HER PARTNER SCOTT IN SYDNEY’S ERSKINEVILLE. @BUFFET.DIGITAL Sofa so good Freddie wasn’t always the top dog he is now. “He was so small!” Sophie says. “He was a little shy at first, but was tearing...

Low maintenance Sophie reveals whippets “actually lick themselves clean like cats. It’s quite an amazing sight, not to mention convenient!”

Paw-fect pals While Scott was working, Sophie drove five hours to Canowindra, between Orange and Cowra, to pick up Freddie.

Furry intern “I turned our second bedroom into a home office so Freddie and I can hang all day,” Sophie says.
