Biggin switches between drums and percussion for the Gizmodrome gigs

Rhythm - - INTERVIEW -

“I thought I was playing fully drums on the Gizmo thing. When we tried double drumming it didn’t really work, even with me playing supporting drums to Stewart. It was better if I went to the top percussion stuff, then it sounded bigger. I’ll be playing the whole song then he puts the guitar down at the end of the tune and jumps on for eight bars. At that point I have to come out of the drums onto the top percussion. When he plays, yeah, I can play along with him but with Stewart’s unique style, I just wanted to watch him. I was like, okay, I’ll take percussion and I started working out my parts, and it worked. I felt sorry for Stewart’s drum tech because he’s always done Stewart’s stuff then I’ve come along with this set-up, so he’s got two kits and all this percussion now.”
