Jammer Time

Rhythm - - BEAT! -

I’ve recently come back to playing after a 15-year break away from the kit, at the moment I’ve got a Roland TD-11 kit setup in my garage and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s amazing how far these things have come. Anyway, I was always more of a meat and potatoes drummer, playing for enjoyment in pub covers bands doing classic rock stuff: more Rudd than Weckl, shall we say. My question is this: how the hell doI get back into playing with other people? It was easy back in the day, but my muso mates of yore have since either given up or moved on, and I don’t really know where to start. It seems like there aren’t any jam nights around my way these days. There must be like-minded players out there who just want to get together and knock out aefw belters? Baz Donnahue, Dublin
