FUTURE DUB ORCHEST RA
I would describe my drumming style as...
“Solid, passionate, energetic, tight, open and versatile.”

The secret of playing drums well is…
“Knowing when and when not to play. But most importantly for me is playing with other musicians, you certainly learn and experience the importance of time.”
My first drum set was…
“My loving parents got me my first kit when I was 14. A Session Pro, the worst but best drum kit a beginner could ever wish for!”
My favourite drummers ever to date are… (let’s assume Bonham is a given!)
“Stewart Copeland, Morgan Rose, Benny Greb, Mike Cosgrove and Andy Gangadeen. I must also mention James Hester. James is head of drums at BIM Bristol. How could you not find influence and be inspired when having a great educator like that man.”
Self-taught or lessons?
“I was self-taught for a good chunk of time until I studied at BIM Bristol for a year. That place really changed my approach on life, confidence, skill and belief.”
What’s the best drumming advice you’ve ever been given?
“Commitment and dedication is key for success... Always be versatile.”
What are you currently up to?
“After a successful 2017 with FDO releasing our first full debut album, Echoes, that then led us to touring the UK and Europe, so 2018 has started with a bang, we have signed up with two agencies, we have a new live session and video content coming out, along with another European tour in the works for this summer surrounded by UK dates. FDO will be working on a second album to be released later in 2018, and we’re planning for a busy 2019. Around all of thisI will be working on other music projects and teaching drums privately.”
“Tama drums: Superstar Birch and Basswood shells with die-cast hardware – Black Panther hammered steel snare 14"x 5½"; Evans drumheads; A Custom Zildjian cymbals; Vic Firth sticks; Roland electronics (SPD-SX, TD-12, TM2 + 6 External triggers); Alto Professional mixers; Shure Pro in-ears and Protection racket cases.”
