JOEY ‘100% BACK’

Jordison back to his best

Rhythm - - BEAT! -

Joey Jordison is back to full fitness, according to a new interview.

The modern metal maestro told MetalWani that it has taken him a long time to recover from the health issues that have dogged him in recent years, but he finally feels back to his best.

“I’m completely, 100 per cent back, stronger than I’ve ever been,” he said. “And I’m not just saying that — that sounds like a cheesy f***ing line; I understand. But it took me a long time, man, to recover and get my strength back, because I got hit with something that… I mean, I never felt anything like this.”

The ‘this’ that Joey speaks of is, of course, transverse myelitis, the neurological disease that he was struck with towards the end of his tenure with Slipknot.

He has certainly been busy since returning to the kit, with two new bands on the go, Sinsaenum and Vimic, and he couldn’t be prouder of his work.

He continued: “Being able to be healthy and being able to record these albums that you hear — with Sinsaenum and Vimic as well — is just a testimony, ’cause I cannot let anything beat me when it comes to music. I have to play. So when you have the power of music within your soul and your heart, nothing can stop you.
