Artist Relations Manager at the Ludwig Drum Company in the USA

Would it be right to say you are increasing the output from the US, Monroe, plant? “Absolutely. We are proud of our 109-year-old USA operation, and we want to continue that. We were the first USA manufacturer to mould our own shells. The moulds we use today have formed countless legendary kits, and these moulds produce our NeuSonic shells.” So the moulds used for the NeuSonic are those historic ones brought down from Chicago? “Yes, they date back to the late 1960s. The ones prior to that were cycled out before our most current ones. NeuSonic features a new hybrid shell and new proprietary finishes.” Where does the NeuSonic sit in theLudwig hierarchy of series? “NeuSonic sits right in the middle. It is built for aspiring professionals, weekend warriors, and any drummer looking for a kit to put significant mileage on and expecting to get exceptional results in quality, functionality and sound without breaking the bank.” What’s coming next? “Expect some new finishes for next year. The size range may also expand in the future.”
