Elephants vs crocodiles!

Not even elephants are totally safe, when it comes to the dangers lurking under the quiet surface of a waterhole. On rare occasions, Nile crocodiles, which can grow to six metres, attack the calves of the world's largest land-mammal. And once in a while, the crocodiles do manage to drown young elephants. According to some scientists, the crocs attack because they think that the animal at the other end of the slender trunk is smaller than it really is, mistaking it for a gazelle perhaps. Adults quickly rush to the calf's aid, beating the crocodile back.
