On the southern tip of Taiwan lies Kenting, where divers can enjoy both shore and boat diving into warm waters brought by the “Black Tide”. Kenting Marine Park has 1,100 marine species and 80 species of coral, and lucky divers may even spot swordfish and humpback whales.

Off Taiwan’s southeast coast lies Orchid Island, offering the best visibility in the country. Dive sites here include coral gardens and an impressive Korean tanker wreck. Additionally, Orchid Island is known as a breeding ground for sea snakes, which are can be spotted year-round.

Green Island, easily accessible from Taiwan’s east coast, is perfect for those who want to see a variety of marine life, such as coconut crab, batfish and spotted rays. Shark Point, a well-known dive site, is also located here, bringing large numbers of hammerhead sharks to gather every spring. However, the dive is technically advanced due to the negative entry and strong currents.
