AGM on tomorrow at Avenel

Tomorrow is the annual general meeting at the hall, starting at 1 pm. A bring and share lunch is at noon.

The next trip is to Werribee zoo on September 21.

The cost of $74 covers everything except lunch. Pick-up informatio­n will be provided soon.

Payment would be appreciate­d by September 7. October 11 is a lunch at the hall. Bingo is held Wednesdays at the hall, with eyes down at 7.30 pm. New players are welcome.

Helen Meyers was again the popular choice to lead the seniors for the next 12 months.

Berrie Brodie was appointed deputy, John Armstrong (treasurer) and Bernie Hangan (secretary).

Trish Wray will continue to arrange the monthly bus trips.

It was pleasing to welcome new committee members Pam Howard and Browyn Henry, with other committee members re-elected, including C. Royals, B. Hogan, N. Hangan, S. Rose, M. Ridington and F. McInerney.

The next lunch will be held on Monday. It is important bookings be made to 0400 533 197 for catering purposes.

The lunch will be followed by free bingo.

A reminder the Puffing Billy trip will depart Seymour at 8.30 am, picking up at Broadford, Kilmore and Wallan.

Bill Hogan has a morning melodies trip on August 28 to the Coolaroo hotel.

A few seats are still available and non-members are always welcome.

Everyone wanted to be a winner at Thursday euchre with B. Hangan, D. Brand, J. Harris and Maree Joyce sharing the win.

Friday bowls has seen a great social afternoon become very competitiv­e with the improvemen­t of all players.

Last week resulted in a win for Margaret Ridington, Clara Morosin and Flo McInerney, by one shot.
