Bombers fan the lucky winner of sponsors draw

-

Leading Edge Jewellers owner Sonya Velt won The Telegraph’s sponsors draw, winning tickets to see the Western Bulldogs beat North Melbourne at Etihad on Sunday.

Mrs Velt, a Bombers fan, received four Medallion Club tickets to the round 20 fixture after her name was drawn out of a hat from the 15 sponsors of the newspaper’s Game On section.

‘‘I was really excited and it was great to be able to support the local paper,’’ Mrs Velt said.

And while the Bombers are still a chance to feature in September, Mrs Velt was looking forward to Seymour’s netballers launching their finals assault, despite the B-grade side missing a few key players.

‘‘The netball is promising — we’re looking to finals in three out of five teams, so long as we can get rid of some of these injuries to Georgia, Marlee Koopman and Mia Feery,’’ Mrs Velt said.

‘‘And I think the boys are showing some promising stuff as well — the seconds and thirds are up there and Jason and Ben will do a great job with the seniors next year.’’

Lucky winner: Sonya Velt, from Leading Edge Jewellers won The Telegraph’s Game On sponsors draw.
