Nearly time to dive into pool season
Residents will be able to dive right in to the outdoor pool season in just over a week, with everything from Olympic lap pools to water slides available across the district.
Seymour, Broadford and Tallarook outdoor pools will open on December 1, and will be open every day (aside from Christmas Day) that the forecast temperature is 26°C or above.
Wallan’s splash park is free to use and is open from 10 am to 8 pm throughout summer.
Season passes for the three outdoor pools are now available at a special early-bird rate — take 20 per cent off each pass purchased before Monday.
The early-bird passes will grant adults entry for $61.60 for the summer, while child, concession and seniors tickets are $46.20.
Or, you can take the whole family (two adults and three children) for a summer of fun at $110.40.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said the region’s pools were a great way to cool off and have fun.
‘‘Mitchell Shire has state-ofthe-art facilities and it is fantastic we can open up our pools to residents through summer,’’ she said.
‘‘The pools are a great way to have fun and enjoy cooling down with friends without having to venture too far from home.
‘‘Our staff are working hard each week to prepare for the pool season, and I thank them for their hard work. We are looking forward to kicking the season off.’’
