The final numbers have been crunched for the Mitchell Shire Concert Band Armistice Centenary Show’s fundraising efforts.
Sponsorships and grants from many organisations supplied funds for most of the expenses for staging the three shows — in Broadford, Seymour and Wallan — and the generosity of all the organisations involved (plus many volunteers) enabled the concerts to make a grand total of $3600.
These funds were split evenly between four organisations — Broadford RSL, Seymour RSL, Kilmore-Wallan RSL and Seymour Legacy — which each received $900.
A presentation was held at the Seymour RSL on Friday.
The Mitchell Shire Concert Band president Nigel Divito made presentations to Ross Stewart (Seymour RSL), Peter Branagan (Broadford RSL), Merv McAliece (Seymour Legacy) and Mike Robotham (Kilmore-Wallan RSL).
Mitchell Shire Mayor Bill Chisholm and Councillor Rhonda Sanderson also attended the presentation.
The Mitchell Shire Concert Band thanks everyone who took part in, contributed or attended these shows during the first two weekends in November.
