CEO is moving on

Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS -

Strathbogie Shire Council chief executive Steve Crawcour has announced he will not be reapplying for his position at the conclusion of his contract in November next year.

Mr Crawcour said he is proud of what he and the organisation have been able to achieve during his seven years as chief executive.

‘‘A good leader knows when it’s time to move on and give a new incoming CEO the opportunity to build on what has been achieved to date,’’ Mr Crawcour said.

‘‘When I started as CEO I had a vision to make the Strathbogie Shire financially viable with a strong, efficient and effective workforce and, together with my outstanding team, I believe we have delivered on this.’’

During his time in the role, Steve has been pivotal in steering council into a sustainable financial position with an organisational culture to match.

Mr Crawcour has also led the organisation to consistently deliver significant capital works programs which have brought infrastructure in the Strathbogie Shire up to a much higher standard.
