Sey­mour’s Aus­tralia Day extravaganza will be held at Kings Park on Satur­day, Jan­uary 26, from 8 am to 1 pm.

With en­ter­tain­ment and com­pe­ti­tions through­out the day, Sey­mour Ro­tary Club and ma­jor spon­sor Car­tridge World Sey­mour have put to­gether a packed sched­ule.

The day starts with an Aussie break­fast be­tween 8 am and 10 am.

A flag-rais­ing cer­e­mony will be held at 9.30 am, fol­lowed by the na­tional an­them.

At 9.45 am, the Aus­tralia Day am­bas­sador for Sey­mour will speak, then the fo­cus will shift to the an­nual Aus­tralia Day awards at 11 am.

Shire and ci­ti­zen awards will be pre­sented, fol­lowed by a ci­ti­zen­ship cer­e­mony at 11.30 am.

A Ro­tary Club bar­be­cue will con­tinue through un­til 1 pm.

Ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude tug of war, jump­ing cas­tle, thong throw­ing, near­est-the-pin golf com­pe­ti­tion, hand­ball, Min­ties wrap tear­ing, Sey­mour Car Club dis­play, com­mu­nity dis­plays, a colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion and sheep shearing demon­stra­tion.
