Summer competition nears

Avenel Tennis Club’s 2022-23 summer competition is fast approaching.

Anyone interested in playing Saturday afternoon senior competition tennis should phone Stephen Garner on 0419 870 207 or Dee Wright on 5796 2309 or 0419 438 949 as soon as possible so the club can organise its teams.

The club is trying to start a junior competition again, either locally on a Friday evening from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, Saturday mornings from 9am to 11am, or with Nagambie or Euroa junior tennis teams. Parents of interested juniors should phone Stephen Garner or Dee Wright (numbers above) with their preferences.

A working bee will be held on Sunday, September 11, starting at 9am, followed by the open day. All community members are welcome to come and have a hit.

For those who do not want to play competitively, the club offers social memberships for $25 per single or $50 a family.

A reminder to current social members that memberships for the 2022-23 season are now due.
