Seniors’ competition eases

-

What a turnaround.

After weeks of intense competition, Tuesday’s bowls mellowed, influenced by the standard of food preparation for afternoon tea.

Thursday's card’s table one had severe competition with Patricia Gear and Cliff Earl against Nita Rowjewski and Des Brand, ending in a draw, two games each.

Table two was a different story with Pat Gamble and Jo Harris soundly beating Marie Joyce and John Armstrong 4-0.

Yes, Pat did achieve her call of 10 clubs. Friday’s carpet bowls had four teams of four over two mats.

Flo McInerney’s team of Nita Rowjewski, Gloria Durre and Marg Ridington won the day by a good margin.

We are still taking bookings for our mystery bus tour on Tuesday, September 27. Cost is $25, plus lunch. To book, phone John on 0484 644 474.

A speedy recovery to those members who are unwell.
