Awards breakfast

GV Safety Group’s annual awards breakfast will be held from 6.30am to 9am on Friday, October 14, at GV Hotel.

Guest speaker is former Police Chief Commission­er Christine Nixon.

Tickets are available now on eventbrite.

The breakfast is free for members and $10 for non-members.

It is also free for seniors as part of the Victorian Seniors’ Festival.

War exhibition

Longwood Community Centre will host an exhibition from the Shrine of Remembranc­e later this month.

Changed Forever: Legacies of Conflict will open on October 28 and run throughout November.

It will be open from 11am to 3pm, Thursday to Monday, and by appointmen­t Tuesday and Wednesday.

Through paintings, sculpture, music, multimedia, poetry and photograph­s, these personal stories illustrate the effect of global and civil conflict on our society today.

Entry is free, but a gold coin donation would be appreciate­d.

Strathbogi­e Heritage Day

Strathbogi­e Heritage Day will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 10.30am on Main St, Strathbogi­e.

The day will include the heritage trail unveiling and the celebratio­n of many historical anniversar­ies.

Victorian Railways reunion

The 2022 Victorian Railways reunion will be held on Saturday, November 19 from noon at the Royal Hotel, 26 Emily St, Seymour.
