Awards breakfast

GV Safety Group’s annual awards breakfast will be held from 6.30am to 9am on Friday, October 14, at GV Hotel.

Guest speaker is former Police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon.

Tickets are available now on eventbrite.

The breakfast is free for members and $10 for non-members.

It is also free for seniors as part of the Victorian Seniors’ Festival.

War exhibition

Longwood Community Centre will host an exhibition from the Shrine of Remembrance later this month.

Changed Forever: Legacies of Conflict will open on October 28 and run throughout November.

It will be open from 11am to 3pm, Thursday to Monday, and by appointment Tuesday and Wednesday.

Through paintings, sculpture, music, multimedia, poetry and photographs, these personal stories illustrate the effect of global and civil conflict on our society today.

Entry is free, but a gold coin donation would be appreciated.

Strathbogie Heritage Day

Strathbogie Heritage Day will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 10.30am on Main St, Strathbogie.

The day will include the heritage trail unveiling and the celebration of many historical anniversaries.

Victorian Railways reunion

The 2022 Victorian Railways reunion will be held on Saturday, November 19 from noon at the Royal Hotel, 26 Emily St, Seymour.
