Seniors get competitive

-

Tuesday's bowls had the red team still smarting after its loss the previous week to the greens.

A grudge match has developed with a couple of strenuous games, with the greens confirming their dominance.

Thursday's cards had eight players over two tables. Table one had wins by Marie Joyce and John Armstrong. One exceptional hand was played by Patricia Gear where she called the same suit as the opposition and won.

Table two had seven spirited games, five of which were won by Jo Harris and Pat Gamble.

Friday's bowls had a line-up of three teams of three and one of four over two mats. Remarkably the first games had a draw on both mats. The second game was also a draw up until almost the end when Maureen White’s team of Vlara Morosin, Marg Ridington and John Armstrong surged ahead to win by four points.

We have a number of members unwell to whom we wish a speedy recovery.
