Specialists in septic tank and water treatment system cleaning

-

Hayden “Pudd” Saunders is your friendly local poo-ologist, and he advises everyone to get their septic tank regularly cleaned.

“Preventative maintenance is better than calling when it’s too late,” he said.

Pudd has owned and operated Seymour and District Septic Cleaners for six years now.

He services a wide area in central Victoria, travelling as far as Euroa and Heathcote, and has a large base of regular clients and customers.

“The business itself has been around since 1989,” he said.

“And the last few years it’s been flat out.”

With services encompassing commercial and domestic septic tank cleaning, portable and on-site toilets, commercial grease traps and septic tank locating, business has only gotten busier.

“During the lockdown period it was extremely busy,” Pudd said.

So busy in fact, Pudd’s been able to purchase and upgrade his truck to solve all access issues.

“My old truck was a bit outdated so I purchased a new truck about a year and a half ago,” he said.

“And I built it to be suitable for all the locations I visit.”

One thing he continues to tell is customers is they need to get their septic tank cleaned once every three to five years.

“Septic tank technology hasn’t changed, but the strength of household chemicals we use has,” Pudd explained.

“Things like dishwashing liquid has a higher concentration these days and kills the good bacteria in the septic tank.”
