A Magistrates’ Court of Victoria spokesperson said all Seymour cases were now being held online, or where requested or appropriate, being heard physically at Shepparton’s court house on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The spokesperson said there had been no significant impact to the Seymour court’s pending caseload, “with the court able to hear and finalise cases online or with parties attending at Shepparton or another court location where appropriate”.

The court acknowledges that people are still affected by the impacts of the floods and anyone listed to appear in Seymour Magistrates’

The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria spokesperson said work had started on repairing the damage, including the building being stripped of loose furniture, built-in cabinetry and electrical equipment.
