Remember Me charity event

A community-led fundraisin­g event in support of cancer research will take place on Friday, September 29.

It begins at 10.30am with a meet and greet at Wine X Sam, followed by an all-inclusive lunch at Seymour Racecourse. The event will feature auctions, wine sales, guest speakers, entertainm­ent and gift bags.

Tickets are $150, with $50 from every ticket going to cancer research. Tickets are on sale via TryBooking.

SES open day

Seymour SES will hold an open day on Saturday, October 14, from 10am to 3pm at the SES shed on Wimble St, Seymour.

The open day and informatio­n session is inclusive of other emergency service and community organisati­ons, including the Men’s Shed and Rotary.

Not-for-profit workshops

Strathbogi­e Shire Council will host two not-for-profit community capacity building workshops.

The first workshop is Good Governance for Not-For-Profits and will be held on October 3 from 3pm to 6pm.

It will cover governance informatio­n, great tips and ideas. It will delve into good practice, compliance, effective planning and risk management

The second workshop is Succession Planning for Not-For-Profits and will be held on November 15 from 3pm to 6pm.

It will include a simple framework for effective succession planning with advice and practical tips on how to ensure participan­ts effectivel­y prepare, plan and implement their succession strategies.

Both workshops can be attended wither online or in person at Strathbogi­e Shire Council, 109a Binney St, Euroa.

Victorian 2023 Monaro State Titles

The Victorian Monaro State Titles are coming to Seymour’s Kings Park on Sunday, November 26, from 7.30am to 2pm.

See 200 cars gather for a shot at the title. Entries close on Thursday, October 26.

The national championsh­ip will be held in Wangaratta in October 2024.
